On Friday, February 28, Mr. Juan Carlos Trabanino Aguirre, Executive President; accompanied by members of the Board of Directors Mr. Jorge Solares, Chairman of the Board, Capt. Francis Argueta, Director DGAC Guatemala, Cap. Carlos Velásquez, guest, and COCESNA officials: Eng. Giovanni Tobar, GEREMACC Manager, and Alfredo Santos Mondragón, Internal Secretary, received the pleasant visit of Dr. Marco Vinicio Cerezo Arévalo, Secretary General of the Central American Integration System -SICA, and of the Assistant to the General Secretariat, Ms. Kathya Salinas.
The breakfast served on this occasion provided an opportunity to discuss regional issues and to reiterate the congratulations of the Secretary General for the important work and example of integration that COCESNA has carried out since its inception in 1960.
As a reminder, in COCESNA’s golden book, President Cerezo Arévalo wrote: “With sincere congratulations for celebrating 60 years at the service of mobility and communication in Central America, now constituting the oldest institution of the Central American integration system, and who has given one of the greatest contributions to the process in favor of a region of opportunities to be built”.
The important visit concluded with the dedications in the golden book, followed by the guests of honor touring the facilities of the Central American Area Control Center-CENAMER, and observing the air traffic management of the 2.6 million square kilometer Flight Information Region (FIR), under the responsibility of COCESNA.
