From November 13th to 15th, the launch meeting for the Project to Upgrade the Central American Control Centers, including Voice Communications Systems, was held at COCESNA Headquarters and the La Mesa Control Center in Honduras. A site study visit was also held, including visits to both the CENAMER facilities and the APP Control Center in La Mesa. The event was attended by Mr. Juan Carlos Trabanino Aguirre, Executive Director – CEO; Mr. Gerardo Rivera; Mr. Jorge Alberto Corrales McCarthy from the Honduran Civil Aviation Agency (AHAC); project personnel and specialists from COCESNA and AHAC. The meeting presented the overall scope of the project, the project schedule, and the activities that require project involvement and commitment to operationalize the improvements to the air navigation services and operational safety systems.
