COCESNA, through the Central American Aeronautical Security Management (ACSA), held the second in-person meeting of the Central American Regional Aviation Security Group (AVSEC) at the COCESNA/ACSA facilities in Costa Rica during the week of December 2-6. This group was created to support COCESNA Member States in strengthening and fulfilling their AVSEC aviation security obligations and fostering a strong and sustainable security culture in the aviation system. Since its formation in 2021, the group has worked on the standardization and harmonization of aviation security with a regional focus, allowing Member States to share opportunities for improvement, best practices, and the development of joint projects. These initiatives strengthen regional collaboration and contribute to the consolidation of a safer and more efficient aviation system.
