COCESNA through Mr. Juan Carlos Trabanino Aguirre, Executive Director – CEO and Mr. Homero Francisco Morales Herrera, Executive Director of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), on March 18, 2025 signed the Agreement for the use and enjoyment of the land where the facilities of the El Salvador Station Management (GEES) and the Central American Institute for Aeronautical Training (ICCAE/GCA) are located, in the city of Ilopango, San Salvador, El Salvador.
Article 6 of COCESNA’s Articles of Agreement states that “the contracting parties shall grant to the Corporation, with respect to the works it carries out and the services it establishes in their respective territories, the facilities and privileges granted to international, autonomous, and governmental organizations necessary for the performance of its functions.
Therefore, COCESNA is an international organization of Central American integration, created for the provision of air navigation services in the territories of the contracting parties of the Member States: Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua.
