During the months of October and November 2023, the installation and commissioning of the DVOR/DME equipment in Liberia, Costa Rica, under the responsibility of COCESNA and with the Technical Assistance of Thales, have been executed, performing the assembly of the DVOR/DME equipment, adjustment of the 49 antennas, wiring and phase adjustments of RF signals, adjustment of transmitters and monitors, equipment configuration, training, tuning, testing and adaptation of the monitoring systems, among other activities, The final tests and commissioning are expected to take place this week with COCESNA’s verifier airplane.
In the process of installation, commissioning and training of the systems, we have been assisted by Eng. Alberto Álvarez on behalf of THALES and the participation of COCESNA specialists: Eng. Henry Rojas, Eng. Carlos Hidalgo, Eng. Gerardo Vargas and Ing. José Eladio Salazar, from Costa Rica, Ing. Nelson Hernández of Honduras and Ing. Pedro Ochaeta of Guatemala.
