COCESNA, through Mr. Juan Carlos Trabanino, Executive Director-CEO, and together with Indra Sistemas officials, signed the contract for the “Supply of materials and equipment, logistical support, training, installation, integration, testing, commissioning and certification of a Mode S secondary radar system with digital receiver and integrated ADS-B” on May 13, 2025, during the Airspace World 2025 event, held in Lisbon, Portugal.
Juan Carlos Trabanino, accompanied by representatives of COCESNA’s Board of Directors, emphasized that this important initiative will allow the replacement of the conventional MSSR radar located at the Ojo de Agua site with a state-of-the-art system with Mode S technology and integrated ADS-B. This modernization will significantly strengthen aeronautical surveillance and operational safety in the airspace of the Member State of El Salvador, as well as en route surveillance of the CENAMER Control Center.
