On June 12, 2025, COCESNA, through its Executive Director – CEO, Mr. Juan Carlos Trabanino Aguirre, inaugurated the webinar “CORSIA and the prospects for optimizing the Central American RIS”, an event led by the Corporation’s Environmental Management, in coordination with SGSICA/CCAD. With this activity, COCESNA strengthens its environmental strategy, “ALAS”, Alliance for Sustainable Aviation.
This conference was attended by more than 80 participants, including experts, officials and stakeholders from Ibero-America and Asia, as well as presentations by EASA/SENASA, IATA and the Civil Aviation Authority of the Republic of China (Taiwan). The main elements of the project “Promoting climate risk management and carbon emissions reduction in the SICA region”, a cooperation initiative with CCAD/SICA, were also shared. This is a multisectoral project in which COCESNA is technically managing component 4 of the project, which focuses on the sustainability of the aviation sector in the region.
