COCESNA, through the Regional Management of Aviation Accident and Incident Investigation (GRIAA), held the AIG meeting from August 18 to 22, 2025 in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, in conjunction with the Civil Aviation Accident and Incident Investigation Commission (CIAIA) and the Honduran Civil Aeronautics Agency (AHAC), with the purpose of continuing to establish the Accident and Incident Investigation System of the Member State of Honduras, in compliance with the requirements of ICAO Annex 13.
During the mission, several documents were reviewed: the Research Procedures Manual, the RAC 13 AIG, the Researcher Training Program, as well as the Regulations to the Law for the Creation of the CIAIA, consolidating the regulatory and operational bases for strengthening the national research system.
With this assistance, COCESNA/GRIAA reaffirms its commitment to support the development of technical and regulatory capabilities, contributing to the strengthening of operational safety in the region.
