In the modern and highly developed Singapore, from April 8 to 10, 2019, was held the 7th World Forum of Civil Aviation Executives, with the representation of approximately 250 Officials from States and International Organizations, having as main theme, “Advancing Aviation: Building our future together”, this important forum held by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore-CAAS, also received important executives and officials from ICAO, IATA, CANSO, FAA etc., who gave updated speeches and intervened in the various panels of the program.
One of the highlights was the signing of the memorandum of understanding between ICAO and Singapore on the Training Program for Developing Countries, which is a transcendental event considering that aviation is a fundamental enabler of the world economy, providing direct or indirect income in the Gross Domestic Product of more than 2 trillion dollars. This motivates the search for new ways to adequately harmonize with the demands of an industry increasingly advanced in technology, in compliance with standards and recommended methods, but not least, in the emphasis of the new generation of aviation professionals.
COCESNA was represented by our Executive President Mr. Juan Carlos Trabanino Aguirre, as well as the Members of the Board of Directors; Mr. Lindsay Garbutt, Director of Civil Aviation of Belize, and Mr. Wilfredo Lobo, Director of the Honduran Civil Aviation Agency.
