Superintendence of Public Private Partnership (SAPP) of the Government of Honduras holds first working meeting to address the issue related to the future concession of airports.
The Lawyer. César Cáceres Cano, Superintendent of the Public Private Alliance of the Government of the Republic of Honduras, made an attentive call to the Executive Presidency of COCESNA, to participate as providers of air navigation services, in the first working meeting, held in the conference room of the SAPP, with the purpose of establishing the activities and procedures for the reversion to the State of Honduras of the project called “Concession of the international airports of Toncontín (Tegucigalpa), Golosón (La Ceiba), Juan Manuel Gálvez (Roatán) and Ramón Villeda Morales (San Pedro Sula), due to the fact that the current concession will end in October 2020.
Mr. José Alfredo Santos Mondragón, Internal Secretary, represented COCESNA on this first occasion, as did the representatives of the different government institutions involved in all activities related to regulation, maintenance, as well as airport facilitation and security.
Among the topics discussed, of great interest to all parties represented, was the need to have inventories of assets, equipment, premises or real estate of each institution/organization in the four airports under concession, in order to avoid any affectation, interruption of operations, transfer of equipment because it is not required in Toncontín, for example, since this airport will not be included in the set to be concessioned, or other aspects that may interfere in the development of master or strategic plans in general.
COCESNA will continue to follow up on the next SAPP calls to follow up on this important matter, which is also of interest to COCESNA as an Air Navigation Service Provider (ANSP).
