In the framework of the Ninth Meeting of Directors of Civil Aviation of Central America and Panama in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, from June 25 to 27, 2019, in the presence of Dra. Fang Liu, Secretary General of ICAO, and Mr. Melvin Cintron, Regional Director of the NACC Office of ICAO Mexico, Mr. Rodrigo Vásquez Colmenares, Director of the Directorate General of Civil Aeronautics (DGAC) of Mexico and Mr. Alejandro Herrera, Director General of the Dominican Civil Aviation Institute (IDAC), proceeded to sign with Mr. Juan Carlos Trabanino Aguirre, Executive President of COCESNA, the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for joint collaboration in the field of Aviation Accident and Incident Investigation (AIG).
The AIG specialty is due to the application of the standards and recommended methods of ICAO Annex 13-Accident Investigation. Focused on the following topics: aviation accident and incident investigation; training for aircraft accident investigators; risks at accident sites; investigation policies and procedures; regional accident and incident investigation organizations.
