From July 16 to 18, 2019, the Fifth Meeting of the Program and Project Review Committee (CRPP/5) was convened at the ICAO NACC Regional Office in Mexico City, which is also coordinated by the CAR/SAM Regional Planning and Execution Group (GREPECAS).
One of the main objectives of the CRPP meeting is to address the improvements that GREPECAS member states would like to implement to the current GREPECAS mechanism to improve its performance and the benefits for states and regions. Under this main premise, the Meeting was invited to analyze the execution and results of the different programs; review the resolutions of the AN-Conf/13 and the considerations of the A40; the inclusion, modification and/or cancellation of programs and projects, the approval of the results in the implementation of programs and projects, the status of implementation of the conclusions and decisions formulated by GREPECAS/18; and review air navigation deficiencies to find a way to manage and correct them; implementation of inter-regional activities of the States, GREPECAS-RASG-PA coordination and monitoring and reporting of progress in achieving air navigation goals.
COCESNA was also present at this meeting through Ing. Gabriel Quirós, ACNA Director and Eng. César Núñez, Project Manager. COCESNA’s presence at ICAO events contributes to strengthening the knowledge of ICAO staff and also contributes regionally with the exchange of good experiences and best practices.
