From July 22 to 24, 2019, the First Special Coordination Meeting for Non-Assigned Airspace in Altamar (SCM/1) was convened at the ICAO SAM Regional Office in Lima, Peru.
The main objective of the meeting was to discuss operational safety issues, ANS technical/operational requirements for NON-FIR spaces and to agree on an action plan for ANS implementation.
COCESNA was represented by: Ing. Gabriel Quirós, Director ACNA Ing. Ernest Arzú, ACNA Deputy Director, Eng. Roger Pérez, Technical Manager and Mr. Víctor Manuel Andrade, Operational Manager, who were in charge of the presentation of the Study Note related to the topics discussed, in order to establish compliance with CNS/ATM requirements for non-assigned airspace, as well as to define and support the need to make the respective amendment to the ANPs.
