The Workshop was held August 13-15, 2019, at the new facilities of the ICAO NACC Regional Office in Mexico City, with COCESNA being represented by Eng. Pablo Luna, SMS Coordinator.
The objective of this event was to determine the necessary actions to promote the implementation of Safety Management Systems (SMS) by Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSP) and to support the development of acceptance and supervision programs of the aforementioned management systems by Civil Aviation Authorities as part of their State Safety Program (SSP).
Subjects under consideration:
- Basic Concepts for Operational Safety Management;
- ICAO Safety Management Requirements;
- Operational Safety Management Systems (SMS) for ANSP;
- Acceptance, monitoring and supervision of SMS for ANSP;
- SMS management and monitoring tools;
- Presentations by the States and/or service providers;
- Identification of implementation and operational challenges;
- Working groups; and
- Conclusions.
