December 13-17, 2021. – COCESNA, through the Central American Aviation Safety Agency (ACSA), in conjunction with the ICAO NACC office’s AIG specialist, provided assistance to the Costa Rican Accident Investigation Authority (AIA) in the development of memorandums of understanding and agreements between the AIA and the Costa Rican Judiciary.
This is to ensure effective coordination between the AIA and the Judicial Investigation Agency (OIJ) at the site of a plane crash. These agreements included coordination between investigators, collection and custody of evidence and anatomo-pathological examinations to be performed on accident fatalities. All aimed at complying with the international standards established in Annex 13 of the International Civil Aviation Convention.
