Last Thursday, June 2, the International Seminar on Alternative Aviation Fuels (hybrid modality) was held, which was organized by the Ministry of Public Works, Services and Housing of Bolivia and the General Directorate of Civil Aeronautics of Bolivia . COCESNA participated through the Air Transport and Environment Management (GTMA). Mr. Fabio Rabbani, ICAO-SAM Regional Director, Mr. Jaime Binder, Secretary General of the Latin American Civil Aviation Commission, CLAC, Licda. Marcela Anselmi, from the National Aviation Authority of Brazil, ANAC, presented the experience of the SAF in this country. Mr. Guillame Gressin, International Vice President of Strategy and Commercial Operations for Latin America of AIRBUS, made the presentation “Together we can be sustainable”, in which he commented on the experience of this company and encouraged other players in the aviation sector to join this energy transition. For his part, Eng. Giovanni Tobar from COCESNA, had an important participation, in which he presented “The SAF as an environmental, economic and social opportunity for Latin America”, in which he presented various analyzes on the classification levels of alternative fuels. , their experience in different countries in the Latin American Region, as well as the potential for the production of SAF.
At the closing of this important seminar, General Celier Arispe Rosas, Executive Director of the DGAC of Bolivia, thanked COCESNA for the excellent presentation and urged them to continue their noble efforts to empower the Latin American Region in this important subject.
