June 22, 2022.- Under the Systemic Assistance Program (SAP) of the Regional Office for North America, Central America and the Caribbean (NACC) of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and at the request of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) of El Salvador, in conjunction with the Central American Institute for Aeronautical Training (ICCAE) of COCESNA, the Course for Aviation Security Instructors (AVSEC) was held, from June 6 to June 14, 2022, with the aim of supporting States in complying with their obligations regarding civil aviation security under the Chicago Convention, and in order to promote awareness and strengthening of aviation security at the regional level. The course instructors were experts in civil aviation security, Mr. Ricardo Delgado and Ms. Rocío Andrade, who developed each of the topics and evaluated the participants masterfully.
This course supported the efforts of the AVSEC expert group of the Central American subregion, with the provision of this knowledge and regional work. This seven-day course was aimed at personnel involved in the preparation, management and/or presentation of didactic material related to a civil aviation security training program. Participants who successfully completed this course gained insight into the general application of instructional principles, the preparation of appropriate teaching aids, and the adaptation of courses to align course objectives with local and national requirements.
