On September 28, 2022, the first addendum to the framework agreement signed by Mr. Juan Carlos Trabanino Aguirre, Executive Director-CEO of the Central American Corporation for Air Navigation Services (COCESNA) and Mr. Héctor E. Porcella Dumas, Acting Director General of the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation (IDAC) is signed, in which the parties agreed to collaborate and join forces so that COCESNA and its Member States can share capacities on binding issues to the strategic objective of environmental protection in International Civil Aviation, feasibility of an ambitious long-term objective for the reduction of Co2 emissions from international aviation (LTAG), CORSIA and Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) (Sustainable Fuels for Aviation).

It should be remembered that, on June 2, 2017, COCESNA and IDAC signed the Cooperation and Technical Assistance Agreement, in order to achieve the development of the individual and collective capacity of both parties, with exchanges of knowledge, skills, resources and technologies. In this sense, COCESNA, like IDAC, recognize the importance of cooperation and technical assistance for the achievement of the goals they have in common in the field of civil aeronautics with regard to compliance with international commitments contracted within the framework of international law and the general principles of Central American Integration.
