COCESNA, through the Central American Aeronautical Training Institute (ICCAE), gave the course “Practical Tests of Aeronautical Firefighter Competence Level 1”, which took place from November 7 to 9 of this year, aimed at personnel from the SEI area of Palmerola International Airport. (PIA).
The course was developed at the SEI Campus of the Central American Aeronautical Training Institute (ICCAE), which is equipped to comply with the regulations established to be able to teach said courses and is part of the programming of courses that will be taught this year to different Airport Administrators of the Central American Region and Member States.
The purpose of the course was to develop the basic skills necessary for Aeronautical Firefighters to carry out joint rescue and firefighting actions in aircraft and is also a complementary part of the NFPA 1003 training program. At the end of the course, the participants demonstrated that they have the ability to apply basic Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting procedures, in compliance with the NFPA 1003 standard, ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices in Doc. 9137 – AN/898: Part 1 Rescue and Fire Fighting.
