COCESNA, through the Central American Agency for Aviation Safety (ACSA), participated in the Third Meeting on the State Safety Program (SSP) for the NAM/CAR Regions (NAM/CAR/SSP/2) held at the ICAO NACC Regional Office, Mexico City, Mexico, from November 17 to 18, 2022; following up on the revised SSP Strategy for the NAM/CAR Regions on the implementation of the SSP that is supported with funds from the Regional Aviation Safety Group – Pan America (RASG-PA) and will be led by the “Champion States” of the Systemic Assistance Program (SAP).

In this meeting, with the participation of the SSP contact points of the States and Territories of the NAM/CAR Regions, as well as ACSA as the Regional Safety Oversight Organization (RSOO), the Terms of Reference (ToR) of the SSP working group were followed up, and the review of the implementation status of the SSP in the NAM/CAR Regions, among the main points of the meeting.

Frazier Rodríguez from ACSA, a specialist in SSP matters, gave two (2) presentations, the first representing the six (6) COCESNA Member States on the implementation of our “Central American Collaborative Group for State Management of Operational Safety GCCA-GESO” and, later, as COCESNA/ACSA, the projects between the “European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) together with the Central American Agency for Aviation Safety (ACSA) of COCESNA ” that have been supporting the implementation of the SSPs in the region.
