On June 20, 2023, COCESNA through the Transportation and Environment Management (GTMA) and the Guatemala Station Management (GEG) in conjunction with the Recycling Unit of the Municipality in Guatemala City, held an important recycling training day in the Comprehensive Management of Common Solid Waste and Waste, approved according to Government Agreement 164-2021; same that is applicable to the entire Republic of Guatemala and enters into force on August 10.
The purpose of this agreement is to establish the sanitary and environmental standards that must be applied for the comprehensive management of common solid waste and waste in Guatemala, in order to ensure the protection of human health; This regulation is part of the actions aimed at fulfilling the 2030 agenda of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
