Mr. Juan Carlos Trabanino Aguirre Executive Director -CEO in the company of Cap. Alejandro Mena, Manager of the Central American Aviation Safety Agency (ACSA) of COCESNA, participated in the 12th Pan American Summit on Aviation Safety and Operations of the Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA), held in Santiago, Chile from June 12 to 14, 2023.
This meeting was classified as unique for all professionals who are dedicated daily to seek the highest levels of Aviation Operational Safety in the Region as representatives of Airlines, Manufacturers, Civil Aviation Authorities, Airports, Air Traffic Control Organizations, Aviation Schools, as well as other sectors of the industry; in order to expose different points such as the efforts that are made every day in favor of Operational Safety, the needs that exist at the Latin American level in the establishment of harmonized regulations, the balance between productivity and safety, the importance of countries having modern laws that support the development of the industry and allow modifying and establishing flexible standards while maintaining operational safety levels, the need to work to restore the “CSTs” (Collaborative Safety Teams) and the functionality of the SSPs of the States and the importance of aviation medicine.
