As part of the activities that COCESNA carries out through the Central American Agency for Aviation Safety (ACSA), with the support of EASA under the EU LAC APP II Cooperation Project, it was taught in virtual mode for the (6) six Member States; the Second Regional Workshop on Unmanned Aircraft Systems – UAS, from June 12 to 14, 2023, with the participation of Operations and Airworthiness Inspectors, Licensing Officers and ANS Inspectors of said Authorities.

The scope of this workshop was: Apply the regional regulations developed on UAS Identify the EU requirements on the airworthiness of small drones and related industry standards. Apply the requirements for the remote pilot competition in the open and specific category. Reestablish the most urgent related UAS actions at the Regional and individual level by Member State.

The continuity of these workshops represents one more step that benefits the Region in compliance with ICAO Standards regarding the operation of unmanned aircraft, and the implementation of regulations and enforcement procedures.
