In the framework of the fifty-fourth meeting of the group of experts on political, economic and legal issues of air transport, GEPEJTA, of the Latin American Civil Aviation Commission, CLAC; held in the city of Lima, Peru, COCESNA, in support of the Member State of Guatemala, as responsible for the environment macro-task, had an important participation with the presentation of initiatives of regional impact.
One of them, the Alliance for Sustainable Aviation, ALAS, aims to become a regional coordination mechanism to facilitate technology transfer, as well as the necessary resources to facilitate the transition to a sustainable aviation sector in developing countries, in line with the environmental objectives pursued by ICAO, as well as with other bilateral, multilateral or triangular initiatives.
