COCESNA, through the Aeronautical Safety Management (ACSA), had the opportunity to participate in the work sessions with the Regional Aviation Safety Team of the Regional Aviation Safety Group – Pan America (RASG-PA) organized by ICAO, holding its 62nd meeting at the regional office of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in Miami from February 6 to 8, 2024.
At the 62nd meeting, the group held a discussion on the issues of altimeter misconfiguration on non-precision approaches (RNAV) and the group committed to exploring options to raise awareness of the issue. Likewise, regional trends were analyzed using the IATA Global Aviation Data Management (GADM) program and the FAA Aviation Safety Information Analysis and Sharing system (ASIAS) where it was reviewed. in detail to identify, address and data-driven decision making of risk events in the region.
