What is it?

The Central American Aviation Safety Agency (ACSA) has a team of experts in the area of Air Navigation Services (ANS) who come from the aeronautical industry and have more than 25 years of experience. This allows ACSA to provide technical assistance and consultancy related to Air Navigation Services, on issues related to Regulatory Development, Oversight/Supervision of operational safety, SSP/SMS, operational safety examinations of ANSPs, development of operational manuals, among others.

Ensure that the air navigation services provided by the different air navigation service providers (ANSPs) comply with the regulations, procedures and best practices promoted by the competent bodies.

Areas of assistance and consulting

  • Advice on the development of regulations, technical standards and documentation related to NSAs.
  • Assistance in the establishment of the supervision/surveillance departments of the air navigation services of the CAAs.
  • Consulting in the development of Air Navigation Services Manuals (AAC/ANSP).
  • Audits and/or technical evaluations to Civil Aviation Authorities regarding compliance with ICAO SARPs.
  • Assistance in the process of preparing audits of Civil Aviation Authorities by international entities, e.g., ICAO.
  • Consultancy in the training of ANS inspectors.
  • On-the-Job Training (OJT) for ANS inspectors.
  • Consultancy in the development and implementation of SMS for air traffic service providers.
  • Advice and preparation of operational safety risk analysis.
