San Salvador – El Salvador, December 18, 2018- Corporación Centroamericana de Servicios de Navegación Aérea. (COCESNA), through the Central American Institute for Aeronautical Training (ICCAE), has begun with the “first shovelful” of the construction and adaptation of the facilities that will house the equipment and workshops for the training course practices. “Aeronautical Maintenance Technician with Specialty (TMAE) Training Program”.
The purpose of this project is to contribute to the strengthening of skills in the area of aeronautical maintenance in the region, as part of the master plan being implemented at the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) complex in El Salvador, within the framework of the aeronautical training cluster initiative for the Central American region.
This strategic bet was conceived under an integral approach; that is to say, it should be scalable over time, thus allowing the development of a short, medium and long term plan. In its initial stage, it is aimed at grassroots maintenance organizations, to gradually cover workshops, ground support companies and private individuals. A relevant aspect to take into account is the cost of implementing facilities, not only in terms of initial investment, but also in terms of operation due to their high degree of complexity.
