On January 22, 2019, the second Meeting of Accident Investigation Specialists (AIG) of Central America took place in Guatemala.
The opening remarks were led by Aviator Pilot Francis Argueta, Director of Civil Aeronautics of Guatemala, Lic. Juan Carlos Trabanino, Executive President of COCESNA, and Capt. Carlos Salazar Sánchez, Director General of the Nicaraguan Civil Aviation Institute-INAC and Coordinator of the Regional Aviation Incident Investigation Group-GRIAA, who encouraged the group of specialists to continue working on this regional project.
The meeting was attended by AIG experts from the States of Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua, as well as officials from the Technical Secretariat and specialists from COCESNA’s Central American Aviation Safety Agency-ACSA.
