Agreement between ACC CENAMER and Panama, for the benefit of Users

The recent signing of agreement between the Panama Area Control Center  and the Central American Area Control Center (CENAMER) on December 18, 2018, has begun to benefit the Users of both airspaces in the following aspects:

1. Preferred direct routes;
2. Reduction of separation between aircraft at the same level from 40 NM to 20 NM;
3. Inbound and outbound flight flows to and from Costa Rica; and
4. Cancellation of the voice check for coordinated transit, by the automated interchange system between ATC units (AIDC).
