Corporación Centroamericana de Servicios de Navegación Aérea, COCESNA, is recognized as an air navigation service provider, with exclusive rights to provide air traffic services, aeronautical telecommunications, navigation aids and aeronautical information for the territories of the member states and others. States / contracting parties.
With more than 59 years of experience in providing air navigation services, technical training,
safety and other resources and capabilities for international civil aviation to make it more efficient and safe, through its complete infrastructure and trained personnel.
And IFAIMA, a Federation of Associations with the objectives of promoting safety, efficiency and regularity in international air navigation, assisting and advising in the development of AIM (Aeronautical Information Management) to maintain the safe, orderly and expeditious flow of air traffic, maintaining a high level of professional knowledge and efficiency among AIM personnel and realizing mutually beneficial affiliations with other professional organizations, signed a memorandum of understanding that establishes the cooperation of both parties in their respective areas of expertise and capabilities.
Both entities, which provide navigation services, are committed to strengthening and developing the international community in the field of consultancy for the improvement of aeronautical information management, better known as AIM, in order to achieve affiliations and mutually beneficial agreements with other professional organizations.
This type of agreement establishes mutual support between entities in a reciprocal manner, while making the best use of the strengths of each of the parties; IFAIMA according to its international market vision will support its associate members complemented with the range of products and services offered by COCESNA, such as mutual support in the field of operations inspection; airworthiness inspection; safety surveillance; Communications, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS); Aeronautical Meteorology; Flight Aids Checking; Flow Management and in general those related to the aviation industry; Airworthiness inspection; Safety Surveillance; Communications, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS); Aeronautical Meteorology; Flight Aids Checking; Flow Management and in general those related to the provision of safety surveillance services, among others.
Another point of this agreement is to provide advisory services in different areas, either for personnel training or for the
improvement of operations and processes; such as those that are part of COCESNA’s aeronautical information center – AIM, which offers regional NOTAM processing service, contingency services and NOTAM and MET relay service by messaging, cartography development, design of conventional PBN procedures, obstacle analysis and a series of other capabilities in AIM services.
There are many points in favor of establishing agreements with organizations of the level of IFAIMA, we are sure that it will be an experience that will open the door to continue establishing agreements with entities outside the region that will increasingly drive COCESNA’s growth. in the provision of air navigation services in a safe and efficient manner.
