COCESNA SIGNS MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH ARCM (MECANISMO REGIONAL DE COOPERACION DE ORGANISMOS AIG (ARCM) AND JIAAC (JUNTA DE INVESTIGACION DE ACCIDENTES DE AVIACION CIVIL DE LA REPUBLICA DE ARGENTINA).
Authorities representing the Regional Accident Investigation Group of Central America (GRIAA) and the Regional Group of South America (ARCM/SAM) chaired by the Civil Aviation Accident Investigation Board of the Republic of Argentina (JIAAC) held two intense days of work that culminated with the signing of Memorandums of Understanding that will benefit nineteen (19) countries in both regions.
Representatives of the Regional Group on Aviation Accidents and Incidents (GRIAA) and the Regional Cooperation Mechanism of AIG organizations in the South American Region (ARCM/SAM) worked together for two days at the JIAAC Headquarters in Buenos Aires, Argentina, with the objective of improving Operational Safety in the Central American region.
The initiative arises from COCESNA, and aims to advance aviation safety and coordinate investigation activities with the ARCM/SAM, which is chaired by Argentina, in the figure of Pamela Suarez (also President of the Civil Aviation Accident Investigation Board – JIAAC).
The GRIAA delegation was composed of Captain Carlos Salazar Sánchez, in his capacity as GRIAA Coordinator and Director of the Nicaraguan Civil Aviation Institute; and COCESNA’s Legal Advisor Dra. Eveling Aráuz, while Mr. Daniel Barafani, JIAAC’s National Research Director, was present on behalf of ARCM/SAM, in addition to Mrs. Pamela Suárez.
