With the participation of Eng. COCESNA was represented at the seminar on “Technological innovation at the service of operational safety”, taking advantage of the invitation made by AENA and the Directorate of Technical Cooperation of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), within the framework of the Plan for the Transfer, Exchange and Management of Knowledge for the Development of Spanish Cooperation in Latin America and the Caribbean, -INTERCOONECTA-, of the Spanish Agency of International Cooperation for Development (AECID) to contribute to the institutional strengthening of Latin America and the Caribbean.

 

This event aimed to convey the idea that technological innovation is a key element within an integrated air transport management model oriented towards corporate responsibility, sustainability and accountability of the activity. Exchange of experiences and best practices in technological innovation in operational safety and its interconnection with a global model of responsible and sustainable management of airport companies.

The main objectives were twofold: – On the one hand, to show the technological projects that Aena is currently implementing at the service of operational safety, such as the A-CDM project within the SESAR program for the improvement of air traffic management in the framework of the Single European Sky, the use of RPAS (remotely piloted aircraft) for the calibration of runway lighting systems and for wildlife control, among others. – On the other hand, to show the key concepts of operational safety management and new developments in terms of regulations, risk analysis and reduction, etc.
