Mr. Juan Carlos Trabanino Aguirre, as Executive President, wants to express through this means to the Authorities, the aviation community in general, users, agencies, international organizations, crew members, administrative, operational and technical personnel, as well as the society that in one way or another as passengers at any time make their trips by air, his great satisfaction because the Central American Corporation of Air Navigation Services- COCESNA, today celebrates sixty (60) years of continuous work, since its origin on February 26, 1960.

The vision of the founders, the gradual development and the human factor supported by the tools provided by the advancement of technologies, following the requirements established by the standards and recommended methods of the Civil Aviation Convention of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), have made it possible for the region to have a specialized agency of the Central American Integration System (SICA).

From the perspective of the World Air Navigation Plan, the expectations of our Clients and the trust placed in us by our Member States of Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua, who have also been able, with the support and advice of COCESNA, to optimize their resources and make their services much more efficient with modern facilities and state-of-the-art equipment, are a clear sign that the dream of having the benefits of an integrated region is indeed possible.

We extend our gratitude to all the professionals and technicians who built this Corporation, to those who built it, to those who today also work in the Agencies; ACNA, ACSA and ICCAE; their Regional Managements, and the different administrative, operational and technical areas in the six countries, to continue the legacy and transmit it to new generations, thus guaranteeing the future and continuous improvement of a COCESNA at the service of all.
