“The The Regional Aircraft Accident Investigation Group (GRIAA) has been taking shape within COCESNA, due to the need to work on possible joint solutions to common problems in the region in the area of Accident Investigation. To date, a group of AIG specialists from the Central American States has been formed, who, in addition to being available to provide technical assistance or specialized personnel, are also working to train personnel.

With a significant operation of AIRBUS aircraft in our FIR, the initiative to hold this Seminar in Central America contributes to the enrichment of our valuable human factor, in addition to fulfilling the commitment to the aviation sector.

I thank on behalf of COCESNA, its Member States and myself, the presence of the representatives of AIRBUS, BEA, SAFRAN ENGINE and AIRBUS HELICOPTERS, especially for making us part of their plan of activities for this year 2020, the year of our 60th anniversary, also thanks and congratulations to those who have contributed to the organization and conduct of this Seminar.

I wish you three days of productive and formative work, expressing our commitment to continue working for this regional project known as GRIAA..”
