The theme Where are we coming from and where are we going with communication? It was presented by Mr. Mauricio de Vengoechea, who was invited by the Political and Institutional Communication Unit of the General Secretariat of the Central American Integration System (SG-SICA) and moderated by Mrs. Olinda Salguero, Cabinet Secretary of SICA.

The webinar had a simultaneous connection of approximately 110 people, including Mr. Alfredo Santos Mondragón, COCESNA’s Internal Secretary, who were attentive to the consultant’s experience and were able to ask questions related to the different communication strategies, their evolution and trends.

Some of the recommendations were the inclusion of infographics, animated drawings and others that could add value to the content of what is to be communicated.

He added that there is no restriction to use all the tools, since now as it is known we are watched and there are no secrets. Today, some people no longer watch television, read newspapers or listen to the radio, but they do know that everything is communicated through electronic devices.

Not all applications have to be used necessarily, but you should take into account; phrases that hook, quick ideas, that are more metaphorical, that make people dream about what you are talking about.

Not to expand on Facebook, for example, which is recognized as having good facilities and including videos, etc.

He also acknowledged that the networks have lowered the cost of advertising. And it is important to remember that there is no progress without communication, it simply does not exist, people are eager for communication and they also want to become communicators, that is why we have to be on top of the changes, if we do not keep up with the speed of change, we will be left behind.
