COCESNA activates its Contingency Plan in view of the circumstances that occurred in Central American Territory on the dates of November 1 to 6 due to the passage of Hurricane Eta, impacting the infrastructure for the provision of Air Navigation services (of COCESNA and Member States). 

The incidents that occurred caused greater damage to equipment and homes of employees in La Mesa-San Pedro Sula, (Honduras), in Nicaragua the affected area of ​​the Atlantic Coast in Puerto Cabezas, causing minor damage to site infrastructure, Belize suffered flooding in some parts of the runway of the Philip SW Goldson International Airport without affecting the equipment and El Salvador, Guatemala and Costa Rica did not show damage to the SNA equipment under the responsibility of COCESNA.

COCESNA currently works together with its responsible areas and Member States to guarantee the safety and efficiency of its services.
