In December 2020, the project “Voice Recorder for the APP Control Center and Control Tower of the Toncontin International Airport” was successfully completed, which consisted of the acquisition, installation, tuning and configuration of the RICOCHET Recorder, these activities were carried out by the technical staff of the Honduras Station.

The project met its objectives:

  • Guarantee the backup of oral recordings of the HTM Service provided by the State of Honduras, in accordance with international regulations and legislation.
  • Provide redundant, self-contained cabling for both analog and new VoIP services.
  • To have records of operations performed using existing analog voice channels and new voice over IP (VoIP) channels for interconnection with IP radios and IP MCS of adjacent control centers and remote sites.
  • To provide operational personnel with a more user-friendly graphical interface for searching and analyzing records in the system in case of incident investigation.

This project complies with the recommendations and requirements of ICAO Annex-10, providing state-of-the-art equipment for use by the operating personnel of the APP Control Center and Control Tower of the Toncontín International Airport, increasing the safety and management capacity of this airport.
