The Regional Office for North America, Central America and the Caribbean of the International Civil Aviation Organization invited COCESNA/ACSA to participate in the Regional Virtual Seminar on the Universal Aviation Security Audit Program – Continuous Monitoring Approach (USAP-CMA) of ICAO Conference, which was held from April 6 to 9, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. EDT – 5 UTC.
The objective of this webinar was to familiarize the participants with the ICAO USAP CMA, with the tools and methodology used for the preparation, conduct and reporting of aviation security audits, and other monitoring activities under the USAP-CMA. , implemented since January 2015. It should be noted that both these tools and the methodology are regularly updated, it also allowed familiarization with the respective responsibilities and obligations of ICAO and the audited State, in order to assist their States in the various phases of the USAP-CMA process.
In addition, the seminar provided an opportunity to share experiences related to the preparation and conduct of USAP-CMA audits. Therefore, the participating public included nominations as USAP CMA National Coordinator by their States and/or those responsible for supervising the preparation of the USAP-CMA audit.
