COCESNA’s Aeronautical Information Management begins on November 5, 1998, when the State of Honduras delegates to COCESNA the responsibility of the International NOTAM office (NOF) for all Central America.

Subsequently, at the request of ICAO, and by resolution of the Directors of Civil Aviation of Central America and Panama, COCESNA was asked to prepare the Central American AIP. With that responsibility, and with the acquisition of a geographic information system (GIS), the transition from AIS to AIM begins in accordance with the ICAO roadmap.

COCESNA currently has an AIM operations center with an aeronautical messaging transmission system (AMHS) on the way to what the future of information management (IM) demands.

Support was also provided to several States in the region in the development of aeronautical cartography and their respective electronic AIPs (eAIPs).

On this special date, Mr. Juan Carlos Trabanino Aguirre Executive Director- CEO; congratulates all the collaborators who provide Aeronautical information for safe and efficient operations.
