Today, May 20, 2021, Specialists Mariana Perez and Ivan Salas from the ACSA-COCESNA AVSEC-FAL unit participated as part of the Regional International Civil Aviation Security Group, in the Third Extraordinary Virtual Meeting of the Regional Group on Aviation Security and Facilitation NAM/CAR and SAM ICAO/LACAC.
This in order to communicate the progress in the matter for the implementation and continuous improvement of civil aviation security and facilitation in the Region. Related topics were covered:
1.New recommendations from the Council Aviation Recovery Task Force (CART)
2. Activities of the year of the culture of aviation security in the Region.
3. General information on ICAO Aviation Facilitation (FAL) and Aviation Security (AVSEC) Implementation Packages (iPacks).
4. Progress of the Working Group on insubordinate and/or disruptive people
5. Experience of the States on the challenges faced during the COVID-19 pandemic when reactivating their air transport operations both during the departure and arrival of flights.
