September 13, 2021.- COCESNA, through the Central American Institute for Aeronautical Training (ICCAE), begins the Basic AIM course for the personnel that will be operating at the next Palmerola airport of the Honduran Civil Aeronautical Agency (AHAC) within the “Training Project 2021 at ICCAE-EM Honduras”.

The purpose of the training course is to train personnel capable of performing under the supervision and corresponding support, as aeronautical information officers in an aerodrome AIS office.

It is developed in ten modules, highlighting the contents of Aeronautical Information, Aerodromes, Meteorology, and Aeronautical Regulations, AIM Quality Management, NOTAM and Integrated Documentation, with a total duration of 180 hours.

The methodology includes face-to-face activities such as lectures, group work, simulation practices, laboratory practices; as well as self-study.

The evaluation system includes both formative and summative evaluations, including written tests as well as evaluations of real performance in a simulated situation. The instructors are officials from different instances of Aeronautical Information, with extensive experience on the subject, in the industry environment and job training.

At the end of the course, the participants will be able to perform as Officers of the Aeronautical Information Service, complying with the standards and methods recommended by ICAO and the Laws and Regulations issued by the competent Aeronautical Authorities.
