COCESNA participated in the last panel of Aviation Day held in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, an event organized by the International Air Transport Association(IATA).), with the intervention of Lic. Juan Carlos Trabanino Aguirre, Executive Director – CEO, where he indicated that the international aeronautical field has been facing a global health crisis that has affected the economic, financial, tourism and other aspects, and has put at high risk aeronautical operations worldwide, but despite all the vicissitudes and scenarios not promising for the year 2020, it was possible to celebrate another day in honor of International Civil Aviation, in this project of the State of Honduras, which comes to enhance aviation in Central America with the habilitation of the Palmerola International Airport.

COCESNA and the State of Honduras through the Honduran Civil Aeronautics Agency have a cooperation and technical assistance agreement to provide maintenance for all navigation, surveillance, automation, meteorology, aeronautical messaging and radar data exchange systems.

Since 2007, monitoring and maintenance of the air navigation systems has been provided to the DVOR-DME of the four international airports in Honduras and the ILS/DME system installed at Ramon Villeda Morales airport.

The Executive Director – CEO also shared that the work carried out with the State of Honduras has been integrative and cooperative, where in addition to technical assistance, services are also provided in Aeronautical Training and Operational Safety, assistance to the States in the Investigation of Incidents and Accidents and in Air Transport and Environmental Management.
