December 3, 2021.- COCESNA, through the Central American Institute for Aeronautical Training (ICCAE), completed the Aircraft Maintenance Reliability course for the personnel of the Federal Civil Aviation Agency, which is an administrative unit under the Ministry of Communications and Transportation of Mexico; the course was led by Airworthiness Inspectors and other professionals with decision-making responsibilities.
The objective of this course was to provide the participants with the necessary information to evaluate and guide aeronautical operators on the acceptable methods used to establish the approved maintenance intervals, as well as the development, approval and supervision of reliability programs. In the same way they applied the concepts of “hard time”, “on condition” and the control of maintenance processes in accordance with the documentation of the Maintenance Management Groups (MSG). Methodologically, this course was completely taught online and there were class sessions lasting six hours per day, varying between synchronous or asynchronous activities that facilitated the interaction between the tutor and the participants. The total duration of the course was forty teaching hours. , for seven days. The evaluation had action through theoretical and practical instruments, study cases designed for the verification of the acquired competences to administer class sessions based on video conferences through webinars; as well as study guides, documentary research, resolution of automated questionnaires, case studies and exposure of learning. The instructor is a specialist in the Aircraft Airworthiness area and has extensive experience and certifications as an inspector, evaluator, auditor, and aeronautical teacher.
At the end of the Course, the participants were able to describe the development of reliability-based maintenance programs, the techniques for evaluating the maintenance program and the continuous monitoring of its effectiveness, as well as the evaluation and approval of the mentioned methods.
