February 25, 2022.- COCESNA, through the Central American Institute for Aeronautical Training (ICCAE), inaugurated the ATC Procedural Approach course, which is financed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) under the Central America Partnership Funds. The course will take place from February 21 to April 8 of this year, in face-to-face mode at the ICCAE facilities, divided into two groups, made up of personnel who aspire to obtain the Approach Control by Procedures qualification, belonging to the Directorate General of Civil Aeronautics of Guatemala, Belize Department of Civil Aviation, Honduran Agency of Civil Aeronautics (AHAC) and the Executive Autonomous Port Commission (CEPA) of El Salvador.
At the end of the course, the participants will demonstrate the necessary skills to work in an Approach Control Unit, through the correct application of separations and procedures for the arrival, departure and movement of controlled aircraft in the vicinity of the aerodromes, filling in progress sheets of bilingual flight and control wording.
