December 17, 2021.- COCESNA, through the Central American Institute for Aeronautical Training (ICCAE), completed the ATC Aerodrome course for the personnel of the EAAI – Nicaraguan International Airport Administration Company, these personnel aspire to obtain the Aerodrome Control qualification. This course provides knowledge related to the application of standards, techniques and procedures used in Aerodrome Control Towers, which will allow them to perform with greater chances of success in the practical instruction phase at work (IPPT). The course contemplates the realization of exercises practices in the virtual aerodrome control simulator, which will increase in the level of difficulty and the number of aircraft. At the end of the course, the participants demonstrated the necessary skills to perform in the different positions of a control tower, through the correct application of the procedures for arrival, departure and movement of aircraft on the ground, filling out flight progress sheets and phraseology. control bilingual. At the end of the course, the participants are able to apply the procedures and techniques of the aerodrome control service.
The ICCAE facilities have been equipped with stations for hand washing and thermometers that do not require contact, as well as partitions between the pseudo-pilot stations of the ATC simulators. For this reason, the instruction of recurrences for air traffic control has been successfully carried out, among other air navigation courses and airports to later return to his native Nicaragua.
