April 18, 2022.- On Friday, April 1, 2022, COCESNA, through the Aviation Accident and Incident Investigation Management, GRIAA, participated as a guest in the first Aviation Accident Investigation Table Simulation, carried out carried out at the COCESNA Nicaragua facilities, GRIAA building. The drill was organized by the Nicaraguan Accident and Incident Investigation Agency (ANIA); with the participation of the Director of the Nicaraguan Institute of Civil Aeronautics (INAC) Cap. Carlos Salazar, the ANIA National Coordinator, Eng. Guillermo Guido, Lic. Eveling Aráuz, GRIAA Manager, GRIAA Management team and personnel from the Civil Aviation Authority of the State of Nicaragua, who represented in this table exercise, the Role of the different entities with which coordination and work arrangements must be made at the time of an aviation accident. GRIAA, for its part, put into practice the Activation Mechanism in the event that a State requests support.
The importance of carrying out this type of activity was highlighted to strengthen the coordination between the different entities and organizations that allow a timely response to the moment of the event, including those related to guaranteeing that the procedures are known. COCENSA/GRIAA thanked the Authorities of the Member State of Nicaragua for the invitation to this important exercise and the opportunity to deepen the step by step before the decision of a State to incorporate the support of GRIAA through the different AIG Specialists of the Member States of the Corporation
