COCESNA, through its Central American Air Navigation Agency (ACNA), participated in the Second NAM/CAR Regional Meeting for Contingency and Emergency Planning and Response (NAM/CAR/CONT/2) held at the ICAO NACC Regional Office in Mexico City, with the representation of Eng. Pablo Luna, SMS Coordinator.
The main objective of this meeting was to evaluate the impact and response of contingency situations faced in 2019, 2020 and 2021 in order to take concrete actions to address contingencies and emergency situations from a regional perspective, the development of the CAR Regional Contingency Response Plan; and to make the necessary arrangements in preparation for the hurricane season during 2022, by conducting an exercise to simulate various contingency scenarios in the CAR Region.
