COCESNA, through the Central American Air Navigation Agency (ACNA), successfully completed tests of the backup connection via Reddig of the AMHS International Channel with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), which give way to the secondary connection of the International exit AFTN/AMHS Messaging; to reinforce and ensure the continuity of the messaging services provided, such as the reception and publication of flight plans, Notam, Meteorological Messaging, among others, in order to provide benefits to internal users of COCESNA and external users such as Member States of the services provided by the AIS-ARO offices, Control Centers and MET courier offices.
This activity was implemented through work meetings from June 2022 to June 13, 2023, with the participation of FAA Personnel, Technical Management (GT) and Honduras Station Management (GEH) of COCESNA, as well as personnel technician of Panama who were as observers for any intervention in case of any failure in said tests.
