COCESNA, through the Aeronautical Training Management (ICCAE), developed from June 26 to August 25, the “Initial ATC Aerodrome” course for the first group of applicants to obtain a position as Air Traffic Controller in the Autonomous Port Executive Commission (CEPA). The purpose of the course was to provide participants with the theoretical, procedural and attitudinal foundation necessary for subsequent training in the specific courses of the agency in which they will work.
The course is developed in accordance with international standards and practices recommended by ICAO and its contents include basic fundamentals of air traffic control such as aeronautical communications, meteorology, air navigation, aeronautical charts, classification and organization of airspace, ICAO phraseology and documentation.
