Today, January 26, 2024, Mr. Juan Carlos Trabanino Aguirre, Executive Director – CEO together with the Minister of Engineer Luis Amador Jiménez, Minister of Public Works and Transportation of Costa Rica and Member of the Board of Directors of COCESNA , Lic. Fernando Naranjo Elizondo, General Director of Civil Aviation of Costa Rica and other authorities and technical staff of the DGAC and COCESNA, inaugurated the new Radio Ayuda VOR Doppler/DME for the Liberia International Airport, state-of-the-art equipment manufactured by Thales, which will improve the reliability and safety of navigation en route and on the approach to the Liberia International Airport, a critical phase in the aircraft landing process, thereby increasing operational safety and contributing to the increase in capacity and efficiency of the services provided by COCESNA and the Member State of Costa Rica.
The Executive Director – CEO, took the opportunity to thank all the staff of the Costa Rica Station Management, the Project and Risk Management, Technical Management and the ACNA Senior Management of COCESNA, for their effort, commitment and dedication to bring carried out this project with the support of THALES and the Civil Aviation Authority of Costa Rica.
